To Class 3 students and parents,It is crucial that you dedicate time each day to complete your homework and practice your Chinese. Each week we are building upon what we previously learned and then introducing new vocabulary and material. If you take the time now to learn and review what you previously learned, then you will be able to easily follow along in class and improve your Chinese. Thank you in advance for all the effort you put forth in preparing for each class.
1. Directions for turning in your homework:
(a) Record yourself reading the weekly assignment (see Item 2 below) 請唸和錄音第三課課文
(b) Complete your written characters/phrases (see item 3below)
(c) Take a photo of your completed written characters/phrases and
(d) E-mail the voice recording and written characters/phrases to me before the above stated deadline.
2.請打開第三課課文，跟著音檔唸，同時注意聽四聲調號及.發音。(Open your textbook and turn to lesson 3, pages 42.)

3.第三課筆順練習 Please write each character by practicing the stroke order. Stroke order click link
(1) 去, (2) 附, (3) 近, (4) 買, (5) 東, (6) 西, (7) 魚, (8) 肉, (9) 還, (10) 可 – 每個生字每天寫三次，分四天寫完。 Written assignment: Write these 10 characters three times per day and use four days to complete the assignment. Once you have completed the assignment, take a photo of the written characters and e-mail it to me.
4.請準備一份索引卡，從第三課開始,我們要自己做閃示卡,做完後每天複習一次。Starting with Lesson 3, we will be making our own flash cards(I will show you how to do it, one character per index card).
5.There will be a class quiz from Lessons 1 and 2 this Tuesday (10/13) and Wednesday (10/14) for weekday students and next weekend (10/17 and 10/18) for weekend students.
Please finish Lesson 2 from page 30 – 39 and review Lessons 1 and 2 in Textbook A. The material will help reinforce what you know.
